CCN Policy Summit - 20 October 2009
On 20 October 2009 CCN held a “Policy Summit” to allow members to members and senior officers to contribute to the development of a CCN Manifesto. Delegates from external speakers Chris Leslie, Director of the New Local Government Network, and John Mills, Rural Commissioner and former Chief Executive of Cornwall County Council, who each set out the views of the challenges facing the country over the coming years. In groups, delegates then discussed the existing CCN policy position in key thematic areas, and moved this on into the development of a series of positive forward-looking propositions.
Following the summit, we also held a short reception to give an informal opportunity for participants in the Summit to discuss and test the emerging policy positions with representatives of Think Tanks and other key influencers.
