Welcome to the CCN Website

CCN exists to share good practice and policy research across its member authorities, and to speak with one voice to central government. CCN is a special interest group of the LGA.

The CCN works as a network of 38 councils, with over 2500 councillors, serving 24 million people across 45 thousand square miles of England.

CCN member authorities have in common the effective governance of counties as distinctive areas with shared characteristics (including geography, demography, economy and history), regardless of structure.  Counties can be characterised as â€˜polycentric’ and cover a mix of distinct communities or settlements, whether they are rural or a mix of urban and rural.

Papers for all CCN member meetings can be accessed by using the Meetings tab at the top of this page.
