This years CCN Conference saw over 170 delegates descend on Guildford in Surrey for a two-day event that had a jam-packed roster of high-profile speakers, sessions, and workshops. CCN would like to thank all speakers and sponsors at the Harbour Hotel this year.
County leaders heard major speeches and Q&As sessions from key figures such as Communities Secretary Sajid Javid, Transport Secretary Chris Grayling, and Ben Page, chief executive of Ipsos MORI, which were sandwiched between panel sessions and presentations debating the biggest issues facing the local government sector.
Titled The Future of County Public Services, the event emphasised the importance of county governance, and how strong county leaders can be a key ally for this Government and how counties will continue to deliver quality and sustainable services for our millions of residents.
All of the sectors most hotly-debated topics were examined over the two days, ranging from a session on fairer funding from Leicestershire County Council, to the delivery of STPs with a panel of experts, to sessions on the role of counties in economic growth and housebuilding.
Below, you can view the slides from each session.
