After the County Councils Network raised concerns over the Government’s forced academisation policy, the national media approached CCN to get its take when the Department for Education announced a climbdown on the policy.

CCN had been at the forefront of the national debate on the policy, and chairman Paul Carter was featured on national BBC News as well as doing an interview on BBC Radio 4’s PM programme just hours after the news broke.

CCN wants to continue to work with Government to ernsure the reforms, and a new schools funding formula, to ensure the new policy delivers for communities and pupils.
