Events
We bring together council leaders, officers and national stakeholders through a regular and varied programme of events designed to share insight, build connections and advance our council's priorities.
Our events range from the flagship County Councils Network (CCN) Annual Conference to regular leaders' calls, parliamentary briefings and online sessions on the policy issues that matter most to county and unitary authorities. Whether you are a CCN member, a national decision-maker or a sector partner, our events provide an opportunity to engage directly with CCN's work.
Annual conference
CCN's Annual Conference is the network's flagship in-person gathering, bringing together senior leaders from across England's county and unitary authorities to discuss the issues shaping the future of local government.
This year's conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow between Sunday 15th and Tuesday 17th November. Booking will go live later this summer and delegates can expect an array of high-profile speakers alongside opportunities for networking at this intimate and well-regarded event.
2025 conference highlights
The 2025 Annual Conference in Marlow attracted more than 200 delegates, who heard and debated all of the big issues facing local government. Sessions covered finance, SEND, housing delivery, economic growth and neighbourhood health, with a closing keynote address from former Health Secretary Alan Milburn.
