The County Councils Network is the voice of England’s counties. We represent 39 county councils and unitary councils, who are amongst the largest local authorities in the country. We develop policy, publish agenda-setting research and support our councils to create thriving and vibrant county areas.

Our councils
We represent 39 councils across all four corners of England: 21 county councils and 18 unitary councils. Collectively they represent 27 million people, contain 12m of the country's jobs, maintain 70% of England's roads and contribute over £760bn to the economy each year.
